Reviews
Love the raspados!! Usually the service is quick . My favorite is The entumido. They have a variety of ice cream too. Tostilocos, churros locos.
I wasn't even sure what this establishment was all about; all I knew was the Thrifty ice cream sign peaked my curiosity (I love that ice cream!). This is another one of those places that sell a variety of different concoctions such as cueritos, chamaritos and the like! The staff was helpful as I ordered a 3-scoop cup of cherry amaretto, black cherry and blueberry cheesecake. Delish! I made sure to nurse it all the way home, even in this heat. A return trip to order actual food (and more ice cream) is in order. But I recommend checking this place out for yourself!
I want to say that the customer service of Raspados Pinguino was awesome. We are here attending a baseball tournament. They are located about 10 minutes from the field we were playing at today. With the temperature at game time around 100 degrees, we called and asked if they delivered. They were able to deliver our 12 items to the ballpark. Being that the fields do not have snack bars, these raspados were an awesome treat. The chamangos were delicious as well. Pictured are only a third of what we ordered. They really hit the spot on this hot day.
Love this place! A huge selection of different Mexican munchies. Perfect after dinner or for a quick snack. The person at the counter always has a whatever attitude so minus 1 star but the snack ALWAYS makes up for it. Some of my favorite things include Churros Locos, Elote en Vaso, Different flavored Raspados, Entumidos, Trolebus, and they have a delicious Fruit Salad and the list goes on and on. They also have hand scooped ice cream. The last time I went I got a Fruit Salad and a Mango Trolebus and it was delicious.
I can only review one item here, as I only came here once during my recent 2 night stay in Yuma. However, it was so authentic, I felt it deserved a review. Their raspados is the real deal: ground up ice flavored with guava paste mixed in it. It was the perfect icy-cold treat to help soothe inflamed gums after having a deep cleaning earlier that extremely hot afternoon (119 degrees) in Los Algodones. That is not hyperbole.
